Summary

Stanley T. Rolfe was recognized for his long service to the University of Kansas and his distinguished research career. As the Alfred P. Learned Distinguished Professor of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, his leadership in fracture mechanics and fatigue helped build the university into a global leader in steel and concrete research. In 2012, Rolfe served a one-year term as interim dean of engineering at the university.  He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
