KU Engineering Expansion Project
A New Era for Engineering
To accommodate more than 60 percent growth in student population and the addition of 30 new faculty members to work with those students, the KU School of Engineering has embarked on a transformational expansion of engineering facilities on both the Main KU Campus and KU's West Campus. Between Fall 2012 and Fall 2015, the school will have added more than 185,000 square feet through four new state-of-the-art buildings.
These structures will capture the essence of innovation. Active-learning classrooms will ensure even more students succeed through graduation. Teaching and research laboratories will be home to the latest discoveries. Student project space and workrooms will foster collaboration and allow students to test and perfect their ideas in a hands-on setting.
Be a part of our transformation
Our comprehensive expansion project is shaping the future of Jayhawk Engineering as a place where students excel and excellence in design and discovery is a daily occurrence. These new structures offer alumni and friends of the school several ways to share their legacy and further the goals of the school as well as create a stellar environment for future generations of Jayhawk Engineers.
