Bioengineering

Research is highly interdisciplinary and focuses on the development of new or improved physical and mathematical concepts and techniques which may be applied to problems in medicine and biology. Specific research foci include biomaterials and tissue engineering; biomolecular engineering and nanotechnology; biomechanical and neural engineering; biomedical product design and development; bioimaging; and bioinformatics.
